What Does Pending Mean on Facebook Marketplace?
On Facebook Marketplace, you’ll typically see items marked as “Sold”, “Shipped”, “Available”, and “Pending”. But, what do they mean?
- Sold. A listing will be marked “Sold” when the sale is complete. If you’re the seller, buyers who messaged you about the item will get a message saying that the item has been sold. After marking it as sold, it won’t be visible to anyone else on Marketplace.
- Pending. An item can be marked as “Pending” when the seller has agreed to sell the item to a buyer but the sale isn’t final yet. If you’re the seller, buyers who have messaged you about the listing will get a message saying that the item is pending. New buyers will see that the sale is pending before they can message you.
- Available. As the seller, you can change the status back to “Available” after posting it as “Pending” or “Sold”. Buyers who messaged you about the listing before will get a message saying that the item is now available.
